In case you missed the original announcement, MySJ Trace utilizes Bluetooth to perform contact tracing for MySejahtera. In order for MySJ Trace to function, you have to allow MySejahtera to have continuous access to the location services and Bluetooth of your device though. That being said, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin pointed out that all the data utilized by the feature have been anonymised. In a joint media release [pdf] by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, it was also noted that the data can only be accessed by MoH and is kept within the user’s device for 14 days....

There several things to love about the new iPad mini, chief among which being the new A12 Bionic processor powering the device. For context, the A12 Bionic chipset was first introduced with the launch of Apple’s current iPhone XS and XR series. The chipset later found its way into iPad Pro tablet series. Another feature to grace this iPad mini is that it now supports the first generation Apple Pencil....

According to Blass’ latest leak, both the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ will be powered by the new Snapdragon 855+ SoC, while the non-US variants of the phone will still run on Samsung’s homemade Exynos 9825, which is also based on a similar 7nm die lithography. Blass’ tweet also lists down additional hardware specifications for both devices. According to him, the displays on both models will seemingly have a standard 60Hz refresh rate....

According to the paper published by the USB organisation, a new USB-C 2.1 port would support up to 48V at 5A, effectively giving users a peak wattage of 240W. For comparison, current USB-C connectors are only able to deliver wattage as high as 120W, due to them only supporting 20V at 5A. This increase in power delivery also means that pretty soon, gamers with powerful gaming laptops may be able to ditch the machine’s accompanying power bricks and simply allow their portable machines to be charged and completely powered by a single USB-C cable, including more heavy-duty and demanding activities, such as gaming....

This will come as a new sub-specification of the Power Delivery standard, known as Extended Power Range. This can be found as part of Revision 2.1 of the connector specifications. It’s a very small part of a 415-page document, which was published recently. Naturally, the introduction of Extended Power Range will mean that newer USB-C cables will be able to more safely achieve higher charging speeds. It will take awhile before we see these in the market though....
