For those who are not familiar with it, Beats 1 which is now called Apple Music 1 represents the human curation factor for the service and this helps differentiate Apple Music from its competitors especially against those that rely heavily on machine algorithm for their music selection.
While Apple Music 1 mainly revolves around the latest music from all over the world, the two new radio stations focuses on different subject matters altogether. One of them, the Apple Music Hits will be offering songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s while Apple Music Country…well, its name is rather self-explanatory. Just like Apple Music 1, both Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country will also feature on-demand radio shows hosted by music artists such as Backstreet Boys, Alanis Morissette, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini and more. There are also new shows coming to Apple Music 1 as well from some of the biggest names in the industry such as Lada Gaga, Travis Scott, HAIM and many more. Apple Music’s individual plan is currently priced at RM 14.90 per month in Malaysia while the family plan which allows users to share their Apple Music subscription with up to five other family members via Apple Family Sharing feature goes for RM 22.90 per month. For existing Apple Music subscribers, expect Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country to appear in your app very soon.
