The Audio-Technica ATH-S220BT comes with 40mm drivers and is capable of providing low-latency audio when used wirelessly. If required, there is also a 3.5mm port for the included cable, which also features an in-line mic and controls. On the right earcup are several buttons for you to control playback and other operations such as answering phone calls and so on. On that note, also onboard is a built-in “high-quality microphone.”
The headphones lack advanced features such as active noise cancelling (ANC), but that’s to be expected considering it being in the budget-friendly category. However, it does come with Bluetooth multi-device support for up to two connected devices, Google Fast Pair support for Android devices, as well as Siri and Google Assistant compatibility. Battery-wise, Audio-Technica touts the new ATH-S220BT to last up to 60 hours of use on a single charge. Charging is done via USB-C, and is said to offer up to 3.5 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of battery top-up.
The Audio-Technica ATH-S220BT is priced at SG$88 (~RM272), and is available in black, white, black with red, and navy blue with beige colour options. There’s no word on when the new wireless headphones are expected to arrive in Malaysia at this time. (Source: Audio-Technica official website [1] [2])
