According to a recent press release that highlights the phone’s launch at ChinaJoy, the exclusive marketing and sales partner of Black Shark in our market, Intelligent Earnings has stated that the Black Shark 2 Pro will have an official launch event in Malaysia soon. However, the exact date will be announced by the company at a later date.
Building upon the foundation set by the original Black Shark 2, the Pro models offers upgraded hardware including Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and UFS 3.0-based storage. The company which received funding from Xiaomi has also improved the latency of the phone’s 6.39-inch AMOLED display from 43.5ms to 34.7ms despite having a 60Hz panel. Other than that, Black Shark has also implemented a new design on the back part of Black Shark 2 Pro in order to provide improved grip as compared to the original model. The Pro model also comes with two RGB lights, 12GB RAM, and 4000mAh battery.
In China, the Black Shark 2 Pro 128GB goes for CNY 2999 (~RM 1781) while the 256GB model is listed at CNY 3999 (~RM 2371). Well then, let’s see how much the phone will cost in Malaysia once it arrives here. (Images provided by Black Shark.)
