There was always a chance, though, that people just signed up to use the free trial and would immediately unsubscribe to the service after watching the first season of The Mandalorian. However, Disney has once again revealed how many people have signed up for their streaming service since its launch two months ago. ComicBook.com reports that Disney Plus has garnered more than 28 million subscribers in the two months since its launch.

If this keeps up, Disney will easily reach its goal of 60-90 million subscribers by the year 2024. After all, none of the Marvel shows have dropped on the service yet, which are certainly going to entice audiences to subscribe, perhaps even more than The Mandalorian, and Disney hasn’t launched the streaming service yet outside of North America. CEO of the Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger had this to say:
