The Whale app functions similarly to other existing meme creator apps, where you can use a variety of pre-made meme templates and add text and stickers to the mix. The app also allows users to upload their own photos to the canvas. Whale features a blank canvas of up to a four-grid layout that you can customiseby adding emojis, texts, and even drawings. You could also add special effects such as laser eyes, image warping by bulging or vortexing, and much more for your satirical posting pleasure.
Aside from that, the app also allows you to create stickers by utilising its cutting and cropping tools, and also adding doodles to it by its drawing tool. Once you’ve created your meme, you could immediately share it via Whale to social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. Facebook is only testing the Whale app in Canada, and is only available on Apple’s iOS platform. The meme creator app is free to use and will not include any in-app purchases. For the time being, Facebook has not announced any plans for it to be released globally or will make its way to the Android platform. (Source: Whale via TechCrunch // Image: ItsNiceThat)
