In an interview with IGN, Todd Howard of Bethesda said that the company has Fallout 5 in its long term plans. But long term is the key here, as the company only has a “one pager” that describes the broad concept of what the company wants to do with the title. All that said, Starfield is still the priority, and beyond that, The Elder Scrolls 6 is still a long way away. And it’s also sort of following the “tradition”, to use the term loosely, of alternating between an Elder Scrolls entry and a mainline Fallout entry. For context, Fallout 4 came out in 2015, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim originally got released 10 years ago, back in 2011. Ultimately, it’s going to be a long wait until the next Elder Scrolls game comes out, and even longer for Fallout. Chances are Fallout 4 will get its 10th anniversary re-release like Skyrim did before the fifth game comes out. (Source: IGN [1], [2])
