The renders of the Versa 2 first came into the spotlight courtesy of serial leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks), and at a glance, it seems that Fitbit hasn’t strayed very far from the design of the original Versa. Everything – from the shape and size – looks identical. Still on the subject of similarities, even the anodised aluminium casing and “PurePulse” heart-rate monitor at the back of the module. The only visible difference between the Versa 2 and Versa are the number of buttons; with the Versa 2, Fitbit seems to have done away with the two buttons that once sat on the right side of the wearable. Now, it looks like the Versa 2 only houses a single button, which we’re guessing will serve as the device’s do-it-all button.
Beyond the renders, there’s no additional information about the Versa 2 or the upgrades that it would have over it predecessor upon availability. Further, Fitbit hasn’t even mentioned a launch date for the Versa 2 either. (Source: Android Central, Evan Blass via Twitter)
