For now, HTC has stated that Cosmos requires not external trackers which means that the headset should be utilizing a method called inside-out tracking. Not only that, the new headset can also be used with either smartphone and PC which made it rather versatile. We also noticed through the teaser video above that Cosmos also features the highly useful flip-up design. HTC has designed a pair of wireless controllers for it but details regarding them are also still under wraps at the moment.

Not to forget, no information regarding the headset’s pricing and release date were mentioned at VIVE’s press conference today. Guess it going to take a while before we able to see the new VIVE Cosmos at retail stores then. (Source: HTC Vive. Image: HTC Vive.)
