According to the Country Director of Consumer Business Group for Huawei Malaysia, Bill Liu during a media session earlier today, the release of Nova 5 series into Malaysia is currently in the planning stage. However, the company is not able to confirm the release timeline for our market at the moment because of the same reason.
The Nova 5 series which is just being made available in China is being led by the Nova 5 Pro which is the first in the series to offer the current generation flagship chip, Kirin 980. It is also equipped with a 6.39-inch Full HD OLED display and 8GB RAM alongside up to 256GB of internal storage. Nova 5 Pro also comes with a quad camera system that features 48MP f/1.8 main snapper as well as 16MP f/2.2 wide-angle, 2MP f/2.4 macro, and 2MP f/2.4 depth cameras. The phone also offers a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera and 3500mAh battery.
Also available in the series is the lower-end models, the Kirin 810-based Nova 5, and Nova 5i which is running on Kirin 710. We’ll keep you updated once we receive more updates from Huawei regarding the release of the new Nova 5 series into our market.
