First from the list is the regular Infinix Hot 20 variant, which sports a large 6.82-inch IPS display with 720 x 1640 pixel resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, a USB-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. For colour options, it is offered in Sonic Black, Legend White, Tempo Blue and Fantasy Purple. Internally, the phone packs a mid-range MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with Mali G52 MC2 GPU. For the Malaysian market, Infinix is offering the Hot 20 in a single memory configuration of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, with the ability to extend the former with an additional 5 GB via Extended RAM. Powering the device is a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports 18 W fast charging and 5 W reverse charging capabilities. Meanwhile, managing all things software is the brand’s XOS 12 platform that’s based on Android 12. In the imaging department, the new Hot 20 features a triple camera setup on its back which consists of a 50 MP primary shooter and two unspecified QVGA sensors. Found in front of the device, on the other hand, is an 8 MP selfie camera that is housed within the display’s punch-hole cutout. Next up, we have the Infinix Hot 20i. This particular model features a smaller 6.6-inch IPS display with 720 x 1612 pixel resolution and a notch for its front-facing camera. Unlike the vanilla variant, the phone lacks stereo output for its audio and uses a microUSB port instead, while the fingerprint scanner is located on its back. In terms of colour selection, the Hot 20i is available in either Wilderness Black, Luna Blue, Energy Green, or Sunset Gold. Under its hood is instead a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, and supports RAM expansion of up to 3GB via virtual memory. Much like its beefier sibling, the phone also runs on Infinix’s XOS 12 platform based on Android 12. Meanwhile, powering it is a 5,000 battery with 5 W reverse charging, but no fast charging support. As for cameras, situated on the back of the Hot 20i is a triple shooter setup championed by a 13 MP primary, along with two unspecified QVGA sensors that are likely to be for depth and macro. Additionally, housed within the display’s notch is an 8 MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The first sale of the new Infinix Hot 20 series in Malaysia will commence tomorrow via authorised physical retailers nationwide, and starting from 11 November onwards via the brand’s official Shopee store. The regular model is set to retail for RM 599, while the Hot 20i is priced at RM 499. (Source: Infinix Malaysia press release / official Facebook page)
