The social media platform made the announcement on Twitter. The option to do so will appear alongside the existing ones, which are replying, reporting and deleting. The tweet itself is pretty light on details, as you can see below.

This means you can pin up to three comments to the top of your posts. Those whose comments you pinned will also be notified of the fact. This will probably help indicate to them what sort of comments you want to keep seeing in the future. It’s not the most groundbreaking feature out there, at least for the average user. But on the flip side, it will likely be useful for those who use their Instagram accounts for professional reasons.
