That is, unless you’re an LG employee based in South Korea. According to Twitter user FrontTron, a self-proclaimed tipster based in the country, LG is offering its employees the chance to own either of the unreleased smartphone models at attractive prices. Alleged internal communications, provided as screenshots by the leakster, revealed that the company has a limited stock for both the rollable and Rainbow phones, with the latter is said to be available at only 3,000 units.

LG Rollable also on sale to LG Korea MC devision employees, details unknown. Due to high surge of popularity to the LG Rainbow, LG is considering to halt the sale of 3000 units of Rainbow that was set to be started today. In terms of hardware, the phone comes with a curved 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 888 processor, and a 4,500mAh battery. On its back is a triple camera setup, but details regarding each sensor are not known.

After conversion, that’s basically around RM580 for a flagship LG device, which is a very good deal. Also not forgetting that you’re only paying that much for a rare, unreleased smartphone that also happens to be the last of its kind from the South Korean tech company. It appears that LG employees also realised that fact and may have caused a huge influx of interest internally, the leakster added. So much so that the company had to delay the sale of these devices due to “high popularity”.
