Maybank did not cite any reason for the change. But it did provide steps to enable push notifications for those who need it. Regardless, on whether you’re using an Android or iOS device, you’ll need to head to Settings and allow the app to send you notifications from there. Though in most cases, you should find that this is enabled by default. Ultimately, it shouldn’t be too big a change in the overall user experience. You’ll still be able to use your Maybank debit card as usual. It’s just that you’ll be notified of successful transactions differently. Assuming you spend enough in one transaction to be notified to begin with. (Source: Maybank via Amanz)
