At a glance, the new Microsoft 365 subscriptions for consumers seem pretty much identical to the existing Office 365 services since they still include access to Office apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Not only that, subscribers will also still receive 1TB quota for OneDrive.
That being said, both Microsoft 365 services still have new things to offer to subscribers in the form of Family Safety app and Microsoft Teams for consumers. The company is also working on several new enhanced features for Office apps such as Editor for Word, Money in Excel, and Presenter Coach as well as new premium presentation materials for PowerPoint. In Malaysia, Microsoft Office 365 Home which covers up to 6 different users is currently priced at RM 359 per year of RM 36 per month. For Office 365 Personal which is meant for single user, it costs RM 269 per year or RM 27 per month. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnSuASngwK8 We expect both pricing will remain intact when Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions become official in Malaysia on 22 April 2020. After all, existing Office 365 subscribers will be converted automatically to Microsoft 365 but nevertheless, we’ll keep you posted if there are any changes.
