Amazingly, the MIXXTAPE hosts an abundance of modern features hidden in its retro aesthetic. The device is equipped with an 8GB internal flash memory with microSD support of up to 256GB, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, a built-in 1-inch OLED display with touch navigation, and a 300mAh battery capable of up to 5 hours playback.
The music player supports variety of modern music formats including 16-bit FLAC, MP3, M4A, WMA, OGG, APE, WAV, AAC-LC and ACELP. As mentioned earlier – on top of using the MIXXTAPE as a standalone player, it could actually function as a working cassette when used with a tape deck. Since the device lacks any form of magnetic tapes, it could only function in decks that are not equipped with tape movement sensors. Fortunately, also saving you the trouble of rewinding it manually with a pencil. That said, the latter feature does highly suggest the possibility of playing the MIXXTAPE in the IT’S OK bluetooth cassette player. Trust us, we’ll gladly test that out if we ever get our hands on both devices.
The MIXXTAPE is available exclusively on its official website and is retailing at US$100 (~RM415). Included together with the music player is a USB-C charging/data cable and a jewel case for its storage. (Source: MIXXTAPE)
