From it, we see a little bit more of the new setting where the story events of Sunbreak take place. As we’ve seen before, Capcom has taken Monster Hunter Rise on a massive swing, going from far east in the base game to European in the expansion, complete with derelict castles. We also get a clearer look at the flagship elder dragon, which is clearly based on the vampire myths. The trailer also ends with a teaser of another returning monster, Astalos, which made its debut in Monster Hunter Generations. While a pleasant surprise since it was a fun hunt back in the day, it’s not too surprising an addition, being another Flying Wyvern variant. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be available on 30 June 2022. It already has its Steam page up, which is also already taking pre-orders. It also has a price tag of RM163. There will probably be a bundle of both the base game and the expansion together once the game launches. (Source: Capcom / YouTube, Steam)
