To use it, make sure you’ve updated your MySejahtera app to the latest version that was just pushed out yesterday. Next go to your profile, scroll down to your certificate, and tap on the “Generate” butt on. The app will then take you to key in your date of birth if you haven’t already done so and once you’re done, tap on the Generate button again.
You may have to wait a while, but the app will notify you when your file is ready. Once it’s done generating, just press the “Download” button and you should see a new PDF version of your vaccination details that can be saved for offline use. As usual, Android users will have to wait a few days to get the new feature as currently, the MySejahtera update seems to only be available for iOS.
Oddly enough, when we tried it, the information for the first dose and second dose got switched, although this issue didn’t seem to affect most people. If there are any errors in your vaccine certificate, you can rectify it by calling the PICK hotline at 1800-888-828 or use the Helpdesk on MySejahtera. Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says that this PDF feature is meant to make travelling more convenient in the nearby future. If you haven’t heard, Malaysia is set to reopen its borders for international and interstate travels very soon. The change will take place when the country reaches an adult vaccination rate of 90% and at the current figure of 89.4%, the goal should be achieved sometime soon.
