There several things to love about the new iPad mini, chief among which being the new A12 Bionic processor powering the device. For context, the A12 Bionic chipset was first introduced with the launch of Apple’s current iPhone XS and XR series. The chipset later found its way into iPad Pro tablet series. Another feature to grace this iPad mini is that it now supports the first generation Apple Pencil. Thus transforming the device into a notepad, allowing its users to digital jot down important notes during meetings, or randomly doodle a cartoon, should they be so inclined.
Above all else, and just like the new iPad Air, the new iPad mini also features an advanced Retina Display, complete with True Tone technology. The new 7.9-inch display means that the tablet is 25% brighter, and even has the highest pixel density of any iPad made to date. As an extra added bonus, the new iPad mini also now comes with improved main and front-facing camera sensors. With the ability to capture photos in detailed, high resolution, and table Full HD (1920 x 1080) videos.
Pricing for the iPad mini starts at US$399 (~RM1625) for the Wi-Fi model, and US$529 (~RM2155) for the model with Wi-Fi and mobile SIM card support. As per our earlier report with the iPad Air, we’ll be posting up local pricing for the tablet in a separate article. So stay tuned.
