Twitter user Ben Geskin shared screenshots of the page in question, showing a price of EUR499 and a release date of 20 November. The numbers have since been scrapped, but it did sound like a plausible price for the PS5. It’s worth noting that this figure was the price for the standard console, and while likely, it’s not known if the digital edition will come with a lower price.
Digital Edition: 399€? Not bad 👌 pic.twitter.com/JMA3Mj39U5 — Ben Geskin (@BenGeskin) June 16, 2020 To be fair, this is not the first time a supposed price of the PS5 appeared online. A previous one pegged it at GBP599, alongside a 2TB storage model. Oddly enough, the one with more storage also came with the same price. The higher-than-usual price, alongside the extra storage with the same price, made it a little too questionable to take seriously.
— Wario64 (@Wario64) June 10, 2020 With this potential -and believable – price for the PlayStation 5, it looks like it could be the real deal. Here’s hoping SIE will reveal it officially soon. (Source: @BenGeskin / Twitter, @Wario64 / Twitter)
