The Galaxy A13 5G sports a slightly smaller 6.5-inch LCD display and while it has a 90Hz refresh rate, the resolution is only 720 x 1600, a downgrade from the vanilla version’s full HD screen. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack, though it lacks any rating for water or dust resistance. The affordable smartphone runs on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700, with a single configuration using 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. While the base storage space might not be much, Samsung put it in a microSD card slot so you can expand it up to 1TB. There are three slots in total including the two for SIM cards, meaning that you can use two SIM cards and a microSD card simultaneously. The photography specs are a bit odd when you compare them to the lower-priced 4G variant of the Galaxy A13. It maintains the 50MP main shooter, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor, but the 5MP ultra-wide lens is now gone. Up front, the brand also reduced the 8MP front camera to a 5MP sensor. The battery capacity remains the same at 5,000mAh, promising up to 21 hours of video playback time or a two-day battery life with normal use. The device features support for 15W wired fast charging, though it lacks a reverse charging feature despite the large size. The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G comes in three colours: light blue, black, and orange. It is available now for RM1,099 and can be purchased on the company’s online store. (Source: Samsung press release)
