Since the onboard processor is the only new addition, let’s start with that. Powering the Galaxy A52s 5G is a mid-range 5G-enabled Snapdragon 778G, which is considerably faster than the Snapdragon 750G of the original and comes with the new Adreno 642L graphics accelerator as well. Samsung Malaysia confirms that the model available for the local market only comes in a single memory configuration, as opposed to the global version which is offered in four different options. Specifically, the one released here is the highest specced version, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
As mentioned earlier, the other components equipped on the Galaxy A52s 5G are the same as the original. The phone comes with a flat 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, refresh rate of 120Hz, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Other features include stereo speakers, under-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC support, the new RAM Plus feature, and a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging capability via USB-C. On its back is a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main shooter, 12MP ultra wide, 5MP macro, and a 5MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, housed within the punch-hole cutout on its display is a 32MP selfie camera. Video-wise, the phone’s rear imaging system is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p footage at up to 60fps.
The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is available now at RM1,899 in four colourways: Awesome Violet, Awesome Black, Awesome Mint, and Awesome White. Those interested may purchase the new mid-range smartphone via Samsung’s official web store, physical stores, and authorised retailers nationwide. (Source: Samsung Malaysia [Official website])
