The Samsung Galaxy M12 is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ 720 x 1600 px TFT “Infinity V” display with a waterdrop notch and an under-display fingerprint sensor. Under its hood is an octa-core Exynos 850 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD). Meanwhile, powering the phone is a large 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support via USB-C.
Other than that, Samsung’s latest entry-level handset also comes with Android 10 via One UI 2, Bluetooth 5.0 support, a dual sim tray, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is offered in two colour options: Blue and Green. Most interestingly, the Galaxy M12 is also dust and water resistant, with a rating of IP68. Imaging-wise, on its back is a square island which houses four different camera sensors. Specifically, the new phone comes with a 48MP main, accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth camera. According to Samsung’s official website, its main camera is capable of recording 1080p FHD videos at 30 fps. Housed within the waterdrop notch on the phone’s display is an 8MP front-facing camera.
As mentioned earlier, the new Samsung Galaxy M12 will be offered at a special price of only RM599 via the brand’s official store on Shopee tomorrow, with the promotion commencing at 12am later tonight. Also, do keep in mind that only a limited number will be put up for sale during this occasion – although, Samsung did not clarify how many exactly.
