The transaction was conducted by Coinkite founder, Radolfo Novak, through the use of his HAM radio. Initially, Novak’s (highly valuable) radio signal was not being received or acknowledged. Leading him to almost scrap the experiment before it even took off. To his luck, the signal was picked up the next via a “software defined-radio” – which is basically a computer masquerading as a radio – and responded. The more exciting part of this relay? Noval was conducting this experiment during a blinding snowstorm.
