While each of these eight Swatch x Dragon Ball Z watches has different graphics that correspond to the characters featured in the collection, they do share a number of similar characteristics. For example, the front part of the watch’s strap upper loop features the character’s name in English while it is written in Japanese on the opposite side. As for the design of the watch case, the collection generally revolves around three Swatch body styles including Gent, New Gent, and Big Bold. Specifically, the Frieza and Majin Buu variants come with Gent body style that has a 34mm case size while Gohan, Vegeta, and Kamesennin models received the New Gent treatment that features a slightly larger case size at 41mm. On the other hand, the Big Bold design which has a 47mm case size was reserved for Goku, Cell, and Shenron variants. When it comes to pricing, the Frieza and Majin Buu watches are available in Malaysia for RM340 each. The larger Gohan, Vegeta, and Kamesennin cost slightly more at RM425 per unit while those who prefer Goku or Cell can get theirs for RM555. All of these seven Swatch x Dragon Ball Z models can be obtained in our market since late August through Swatch outlets and Swatch Malaysia’s website. However, the Shenron variant as well as the special Shenron x Swatch Numbered Edition set will only arrive in early October although Swatch Malaysia has yet to reveal the pricing for both of them. As a comparison, all of these features are coloured in black on the standard Shenron variant. Furthermore, the Shenron x Swatch Numbered Edition set also includes the other seven watches within the Swatch x Dragon Ball Z collection that will be housed inside seven Dragon Balls. With only 997 sets to be released throughout the world, Swatch also did not reveal if the limited edition release is coming to our shores, but we will keep you posted once we hear more from the company.
