The current gen console versions of The Witcher 3, as well as the PC version of the game, will also be getting a graphical upgrade. This will come in the form of a free update, though no mention on when exactly the update will be live.

No exact date for this either, but the PR lead at CDPR, Radek Grabowski, mentions 2021 on Twitter. It’s likely the graphics upgrade for PC and current gen consoles will be available on the same day. This makes The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt one of the games with the longest lives, as it were. First released back in 2015, it will now get an extended life further into the next console generation as well.
